Furry Friday – It’s December!

Can you believe it’s December already?  It seems like it was November only yesterday. We’re getting the holiday decorations out of storage and started making the house look festive.  And when I say “we,” I mean my husband.  I’m not much for decorating for the holidays.  I brought out the decorative kitchen towels, but that’s the extent of my contribution.  It’s better this way.  I have no innate talent for creating beautiful holiday decorations out of macaroni and coat hangers, and he has a system that I know better than to intrude upon.  But I do whip up a good batch of Christmas cookies. 

December also brings colder weather and snow.  Today has been raining/sleeting all day long.  If it was five degrees colder, we would probably have a foot of snow.  Instead, we have a deep puddle where the driveway dips down in front of the garage.

This cold and wet weather necessitates the canine coats.  Gidget McFidget is wearing her trusty down-filled purple puppy parka that had kept her warm for several winters, and Bruce Wayne got a brand-new fleece-lined jacket that zips up the back since he really dislikes having coats pulled over his head.

The coats are for outdoor use.  Inside, they like to cozy up next to the fireplace.
