Just two weeks after our trip to Nashville, we’re off on another adventure to Omaha to visit our son. Gidget McFidget and Bruce Wayne tagged along for the ride.
After a 12-hour drive that involved a great deal of napping, they were exhausted but excited to see their niece Lola, aka Lolapalooza.
They immediately resumed the familiar dance of trying to find their status in the pack. Gidget McFidget has been the boss since Lola was a little puppy, but Bruce likes to think he’s in charge because he’s the only male. He tries to act macho in front of the ladies, but they are mostly oblivious to his charms.
There are a lot of stairs at Tim’s house, but Lola doesn’t mind because she has long legs. Gidget and Bruce are not so sure about the stairs, and they get upset every time their Mama has to go down to the basement to do laundry or bring something upstairs. Gidget can’t go back up the stairs if she follows Mama to the basement, so she must be carried back upstairs. She has the amazing ability to double her weight in these circumstances.
Bruce and Gidget are tall enough to get up on the couch, and they have made full use of this ability. Lola enjoys seeing her little buddies, but she is probably looking forward to having the couch all to herself soon enough.
Gidget and Bruce are probably also looking forward to getting back to their house where there are no stairs to create obstacles for little dogs, especially dogs with stubby little legs like Bruce Wayne.
